Divina Grossman, PhD, RN, FAAN is a healthcare executive, spending many years in academia and private industry. She was named the Chancellor of University of Massachusetts Dartmouth on July 2, 2012. Prior to this, she was the first to be named Vice-President for Engagement at Florida International University. She has also served as Director and then Dean of the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Florida International University (FIU) from 2000 to 2009. Before her position at FIU, she was Department Chairperson for Chronic Nursing Care at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio from 1999-2000, and Department Chairperson for Adult and Gerontological Nursing at FIU from 1995 to 1998. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing cum laude from the University of Santo Tomas (Philippines), an MSN at the University of Miami, and a PhD at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a Clinical Specialist in Medical Surgical Nursing and is a licensed Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in Florida.
