A native of Miami, Dr. Gonzalez received his bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Johns Hopkins University with general and departmental honors. He then proceeded to the Yale University School of Medicine for his Medical Doctor degree and subsequently, returned to Miami to complete his internal medicine internship and Neurology residency with University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital. He completed his fellowship at UM Jackson Memorial Hospital and received an Excellence Award in teaching medical students as a Fellow.
