Carolina oversees all Social Work services and programs for the Brain Center, including development and management of all educational and comprehensive wellness programs. She is also responsible for setting the vision and overseeing the team that provides individual and group counseling, case management and referral assistance. Before joining the Brain Center, Carolina was the Senior Program Manager for Gilda’s Club New York City for over 5 years, where she oversaw membership and helped develop and expand the Clubhouse program to various Community Partners. Prior to that, she spent over 10 years working with organizations in New York City, first with families that were affected by terminal and chronic illness, then providing psychotherapy at an outpatient mental health clinic. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, earning her master’s degree from Hunter College School of Social Work in New York. She was born in Venezuela and is a native Spanish speaker.
