BRAIN CENTER AWARDED PCSP STATUS BY NCQA

The only group in Florida with this recognition

Brain Center announced today its recognition as a Patient-Centered Specialty Practice (PCSP) by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).  The NCQA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to improve health care quality in the US through the administration of evidence-based standards, measures, programs, and accreditation.

The Brain Center is the only Neurology Group in the State of Florida to have achieved this designation.  After a rigorous application process wherein, documentation was submitted to show better access and care coordination among all our patients’ providers, the NCQA recognized the Brain Center as a patient centered neurology provider maintaining the highest standards for patient care.  “This will help us raise the bar for neurology care in South Florida,” added Dr. Jeffrey Horstmyer, Chairman and CEO of the Brain Center.

Through the use of EPIC electronic health records (EHR) software and a partnership with Memorial Healthcare System (MHS) of Broward, the Brain Center can track, report, manage, and improve upon the delivery of neurology care for all our patients while also focusing on reducing the total cost of caring for them.
